Crohn's Disease
This disease can strike any part of the digestive tract, but the majority of patients detected in the intestine and especially in minutes. Special feature of the disease, unlike ulcerative colitis is discontinuous distribution of inflammation. The usual symptoms are diarrhea, abdominal pain and weight loss. The prevalence of Crohn's disease worldwide is 1.10 per 100,000 inhabitants. In Greece the prevalence is 2.6 / 100,000 (data from Crete).
